First snow crab, now northern shrimp and lobster — panel-set prices fail to kick-start fisheries

Three of the province's largest commercial fisheries — snow crab, northern shrimp, and lobster, with a 2022 landed value of $987 million — now appear dead in the water. For the second year in a row, fish prices set by the provincial government's final-offer selection model of fish pricing fail to get commercial fisheries up and running.
