DFO interference with scientific work 'commonplace': union representing department scientists
Below is a copy of a Nov. 25th, 2021 letter by the Professional Institute of the Public Service of Canada, representing DFO scientists in the province, to the deputy minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada. CBC NL has reported extensively on the letter over the past month, but the document hasn't been released until now.
SEA-NL called on the Prime Minister earlier today to call a third-party investigation into the allegations, which are described by the union as the "undermining of scientific processes and excellence in the Newfoundland and Labrador Region."
