SEA-NL's first Annual General Meeting (AGM) has been scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 25th, at the Albatross Hotel in Gander.

The AGM is open to all inshore enterprise owners who are registered with SEA-NL and in good standing (meaning dues have been paid).

Spouses, observers, and company representatives are welcome to attend the AGM, but all attendees MUST register in advance.

 

All SEA-NL members/spouses/observers who attend in-person will be charged a $40 "banquet fee" to cover of a formal sit-down lunch with a guest speaker/entertainment. ​

SEA-NL members can take part in the AGM virtually, but MUST register in advance. There is no charge for virtual attendance. 

 

A detailed agenda will be e-mailed to all registered members.

 

You can participate now in several ways, beginning with the Constitution.

We ask owner-operators to review the document and submit any proposed amendments by Feb. 18th, 2023. (Amendments are not guaranteed to be accepted on the floor).

ELECTION OF PRESIDENT

 

Candidates are encouraged to declare their intention to run ahead of the AGM. The position is for a one-year term. All SEA-NL members in good standing are eligible to nominate a candidate, or to throw their hat in the ring.

 

ELECTION OF REGIONAL REPS

Elections will be held for one director from each of the five following fishing zones: 2J, 3K, 3L, 3Ps, 4R/3Pn.

 

Candidates must fish out of the fishing zones they wish to represent, and are encouraged to declare their intention to run ahead of the AGM.

 

The positions are for a two-year term. All SEA-NL members in good standing are eligible to nominate a candidate, or to run.

​

SEA-NL members can cast a proxy vote for another SEA-NL member, but only one proxy vote per member.

​
